Commitment to Our Community
I.T. by Design is involved heavily in its community. Groups and organizations
I.T. by Design is affiliated with include Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC), Forum
35, Sales and Marketing Executives of Greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana State
University (LSU) and Louisiana Technology Park.
We are involved with BRAC at an investor level committing $37,500 to the
organization over 5 years. Michael Thrower, President of I.T. by Design serves
on the Executive Committee of the Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship
Council for BRAC as well.
Education is also highly valued by I.T. by Design, and we strive to get involved
on both sides of the classroom. Between three of our team members (two of which
are at the executive level), we teach almost every software development class at
the LSU Division of Continuing Education. We provide a Resource Center on our
website as well as a Facebook Fan Page where those interested can visit to learn
and read up on recent technology trends and news topics. We also volunteer as
counselors at the Louisiana Technology Park and happen to be students of
business development classes taught at the Technology Park to explore developing
new divisions of our organization.
Our involvement extends to donations to local non-profits as well. I.T. by Design
offers pro-bono services to selected non-profit organizations. We have donated
our time and services to create and redesign websites including content
management systems for both
St. John’s United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge as well as
From the Flames.
If you would like to nominate a non-profit organization in need of our pro-bono
services, please fill out the form below. If selected, an I.T. by Design
representative will contact you shortly.
