Recently, you may have read about the Google hack that happened in China.
If not, the thing you need to know now is that the malicious code used in that hack is now freely available on the internet.
That means unethical users can use this code in new and creative ways, potentially against you.
The code targets Internet Explorer 6 running on Windows XP.
The best way to safeguard yourself if on this browser and version of Windows - upgrade Internet Explorer to version 7 or 8 right now.
To know if you are running Internet Explorer Version 6, click help on your menu at the top of the screen,
then click about from the menu options that drop down. If the listed version starts with "6.", you have the version
you do not want to have. IE has vastly improved their browser from version 6 anyway and it’s a free download.
Again, this is only a concern for Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6 users at present.
