Too Legit - Part Deux

This is an extension of my original “Too Legit” blog where I discussed the importance of your website in legitimizing your company. However, legitimizing your online presence extends further than just your website.

Email is another tool almost every business uses to communicate with its customers online. However, a flaw of many smaller organizations is not using their website domain name as their email domain name. You often see that these companies are using email accounts through Google, Hotmail, AOL, etc. for their business communications. The problem is that people are less likely to trust a company that uses a third-party email account for business purposes, and these email accounts look much less professional than the alternative. Luckily, getting your email hosted with your website domain name is much easier and more inexpensive than you might think. Also, another perk to having your domain name in your email address is that every time you give out your email address and with every communication, you are plugging your website. That can’t hurt!
