I.T. by Design joins the Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) to support economic development in Baton Rouge. BRAC has worked to promote economic growth in the Baton Rouge area since 2004. I.T. by Design is the most recent contributor to this worthy cause.

I.T. by Design is a custom software and networking company located in Baton Rouge. The company began in 2003 and has over 20 employees. $37,500 in five years is a worthwhile contribution says Mike Thrower, the President and Chief Architect of I.T. by Design, “Supporting the economic development of Baton Rouge means supporting the future of Baton Rouge. We have experienced and intelligent individuals moving away from Baton Rouge because they can’t find jobs and companies avoiding Baton Rouge because they can’t find a workforce. There is a missing link here that needs to be found.”

With nearly all employees from the Baton Rouge area, I.T. by Design is helping the Campaign for a Greater Baton Rouge in more ways than one. As a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Mr. Thrower also teaches up to twelve different technical courses for the LSU Department of Continuing Education (DOCE). He believes in educating the public about new technologies available in the industry, “The DOCE gives professionals the opportunity to update their skill set, making them much more qualified to get the jobs they want.” Mike Thrower has over 10 years of coding experience and is also a Microsoft Certified Software Developer.
